Cheap Chinese made proof.

Just to back up what Bryce was saying about cheap Chinese brand electronicsI was cleaning up my man cave this morning and found this.
It is the connector from a cheap Chinese made TV mainboard to a 32" LCD panel.
It is made from a right angle twin header pins and a you can see the rest.
A micro dob of solder and hot glue.    I guess another card edge connector was going to put the price up to high.
The led lights were not working although it was still putting out video if you put a light behind the panel.
These TV's sell in Woolworths stores and the like here in Australia for around AU$250.
