Hi all,
Another issue with a CPC 464.
On startup:
Black screen, no beep, and red LED on.
I tested the Z80 and the 40010. Result: the same.
So I connected the Dandanator to it with Romdiag 1.3.
LowRam test: OK
but ROM test: OK
It doesn't recognize the CPC at first, but more importantly, Romdiag crashes during the ROM test.
I replaced the 40009 ROM with an EEPROM flash, but the result is the same.
Any ideas?
Thanks
willow
Why are You testing DiagROM?

I'm not testing Diagrom.
I'm using the program in Dandanator, but the ROM on the CPC 464 is 40009.
thanks

But you used 1.3L (meaning low).
40009 is disabled

hello,
I can't find version 1.3U.
In .ROM or .bin format.
Do you have the file?
Thanks.

Okay, thanks.
But it does exactly the same thing.
Whether it's with the Dandanator or a programmed ROM.
It crashes when reading the upper ROM and doesn't detect the lower ROM.
arghhh
Hi,
Okay, I'm making some progress...
Here I am, with a screen with vertical yellow stripes.
The ROM test with the Dandanator is fine.
See photo.
What do you think?
Thanks for your help.

@McArti0 Hello,
That's it, the solution has been found!!
Thanks to you.
I followed your reasoning and looked into the GA.
The CI socket was corroded.
I replaced it and everything is fine now.
We can say problem SOLVED!!
Thanks again to the entire community for responding.
