Title: DDI-1 PCB drawing/photo's
Post by: retro space on 09:10, 04 July 24
I was wondering how the CPC interfaces with a floppy, and if it is hard to build a controller. I've a spare µPD765AC lying around.
I see the schematic here:

Does anybody know a source for the PCB layout, or photo's of it on both sides?

I assume you didn't go to the bother of checking or searching the threads in this forum for "DDI-1 Clone" ? Otherwise you would have found the many existing layouts, clones and upgraded clones that have been designed, discussed and sold here.

Bryce.

I'm specifically interested in the original design, as I want to compare it to another Z80 floppy computer with a NEC µPD765

Thanks,
Is the Zilog chip fully replacable by a NEC µPD765? What is the 40015? Is that a Z80 CTC/PIO in disguise?

It's just the AMSDOS rom. All amstrad-marked ic's are roms except for the gate array/asic.
