Title: I have an EME-155 floppy drive that is unwell
Post by: Audronic on 05:54, 04 January 16
@Bryce

I have an EME-155 floppy drive that is unwell.

I have replaced the belt and Cleaned all the belt path.
BUT the Belt insists on riding up on the Capstan Pulley (Drive Motor)

Would you have a photo of the Capstan Pulley on a working drive so i can see if the Pulley
has been moved down the shaft ??

Thanks    Ray

Maybe it is riding the motor pulley because it is also riding the disc pulley ?
Just put the belt in the groove on both side. If it keep getting out, either the belt is too long or one of the two pulley axis are not parallel.

If there's even the tiniest bit of residue left over from the old belt it will do this. Make sure the capstan is absolutely glistening and this should stop happening.
