Title: Opening an early 464 keyboard (Z70102)
Post by: reno on 22:45, 22 July 20
Hi,

I bought an untested 464 and it needs a good clean and some restoration.

The first problem I've noticed is that the large Enter key doesn't move anymore (missing or broken spring ?)

It's an early 464 keyboard (Z70102 like this : http://www.cpcwiki.eu/imgs/a/a7/Z70102_bot.jpg (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/imgs/a/a7/Z70102_bot.jpg))
I've tried opening it from the bottom (I need to clean it completely anyway) and unclipped as many of the black plastic clips as I could, but it's still not opening.
It seems like there are 2 round black... screw-shaped things (see photo) that still hold the keyboard together.
Does anyone know how to correctly disassemble it ?

Thanks

They are melted pins, you need to cut the ring off the top (looks like you've already done half of that already).

Bryce.
