Where are you located? I think if you have the m4 you only need a cartridge and doesn't need to contain the os as that can load as a rom on the m4.

On Ebay some French guy is selling self made Basic/Burning Rubber cartridges for 22€ incl. shipping to Europe.

if I buy a French one , what is the difference compared to an English? What is the link to it?

Don't get a French one, if your keyboard is UK. Many keys would not match. But he also has a UK version.
