Hi,

I've just bought an original game and the metal shutter is disengaged from the spring on one side and now spinning freely. I'm lucky I noticed before it possibly ruined my drive head !

Trying to decide if I should return the game... How difficult is this to repair ? Does it require cracking the shell open ?

Hi Reno,
you'll definitely need to open the shell, because you're biggest problem is "Where did the spring go?". It could be inside scratching deep cuts into the disc.
