Title: Suitable replacement Memory for a 464 or a 6128
Post by: Audronic on 03:34, 06 November 15
Hi All
I am looking for a list of Suitable replacement Memory for a 464 or a 6128
The original memory chips are MT 4264-15. (YUK)
A link to a list would be good
I have some MCM6665AP-15 are these OK
Thanks    Ray

What I'm seeing seems to suggest that it'll work - one of the 4164 datasheets claims to be pin-compatible with the MCM6665, and grimware's site says the CPC's basically used a bunch of different 4164's interchangeably (including one 4264), all being 64kx1 devices.

(Edit: what is it with the forum inexplicably posting microscopic text sometimes?  ??? )

Here is a quick cross reference...

RAM Chips in some of your favorite vintage computers! - Classic Computing - (http://atariage.com/forums/topic/227164-ram-chips-in-some-of-your-favorite-vintage-computers/)

looks like the 6665 should be OK.

Cheers,
