Title: Thanks Bryce (DDI-1 Fault)
Post by: Audronic on 06:38, 22 November 17
@Bryce (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=225)

Thanks.
Bryce and I were having a bit of a chat on PM about a Faulty DDI-1.
He suggested that i look at the 74LS38's that feed the Floppy drive. IC 106 and IC 108.
As suggested I removed the offending beasts (Both of them) and replaced them, God its hard to fit a socket in place of the chips.
That fixed the Problem.

Thanks Bryce

Hi Ray,
     yes, those two parts are really fiddly to get out and the sockets only fit with a little help. Whoever laid the board out was running out of space when he got to the end. Good that you got it fixed quickly though.

Bryce.
