I there,
I bought a pvm on the local used market that features RGB input. Now I need to assemble a adapter.
Do I need RGB + SYNC or is RGB sufficient?
What kinda cable do you suggest? 50Ω or 75Ω? or any other type? I just want to get it right :)
Many thanks!

usually nothing, but depends on what pvm is
Professional Video Monitor. For the scanline addicts among us ^^
For PVM the best practice is to use a SCART switch box between your retro computer(s) and PVM monitor. (I tried all the combinations and settled with this one.)
PVM <--> BNC to SCART cable <--> SCART switch box <--> CPC RGB to SCART cable
Thus you can connect multiple computers to PVM using standard SCART cables for each. You can also connect your SCART switch box to an active stereo system and get great stereo audio instead of PVM's horrible mono output or CPC's humble speaker.

Thanks for your suggestions. Eventually I'll try get a setup like this. For now I just don't want to leave anything on the table concerning picture quality, hence I'm looking for a direct connection ...
