Hi everyone,
I am planning to buy an Amstrad with module mp2. However as you can see in the picture, background color is black and text color is white. Any idea what is causing this? Should i avoid it? Thanks.
Hi, can you try to force the RGB mode in your TV?
Looks like it's showing only the monochrome picture that is used with the green monitor.
Other than that, are your modulator and your TV of the same standard (PAL, NTSC, SECAM...)?
If it's connected via the antenna input, it's poor tuning. You need to do manual fine tuning in your TV. Monochrome image is typical of slightly out of frequency signals.

Thanks for the quick responses. This picture is from seller. I will inform him about your directions and letmyou know. Again, thanks a lot, cheers.
If possible use a RGB to VGA cable, this will work better. :)

only if the monitor supports 15kHz via VGA
Right! And there are other alternatives to have a good picture too...
RGB to Scart Cabel + Scart2HDMI adapter is most likely the easiest setup to check it (color). However you need to have that cable and you need to have a scart2HDMI adapter that is RGB and not CVBS only.
Not sure if you can see it your self (visit the seller) and bring the required equipement.
You could by a Cable and HDMI adapter and then see.
Or you can buy a RGB2HDMI with is all of the above in a small box - however I could not find anyone selling it right now.

Well, unfortunately the seller is in another city. Looks like i will take the risk and buy it tomorrow and if it has a problem, gonna fix it with community's help hopefully. Finding an Amstrad in my country is pretty hard. It is a rare item :/.
I am pretty sure that it works normally - it would be strange to be black and white instead of yellow on blue. I cannot imagine any reason other than not connected to RGB correctly, but using the monochrome signal.
Hi Everyone,
I finally got the 6128 and mp2 adapter and connected via rf output to my tv. Well the image is not very good but at least it is not black and white, i can see the proper colors :) So my question is: How can i connect it to my led monitor via vga input for a quality image. I searched through the forum but i am a bit confused.
After trying out three options myself, here are my thoughts:
A) Absolute best picture: Pi based RGBtoHDMI gadget: ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CnsQBGAuos )
B) Overall most versatile solution: OSSC (Open Source Scan Converter). You can use this with all your retro devices. But if CPC is your sole retro computer, it'd be overkill. ( https://videogameperfection.com/products/open-source-scan-converter/ )
C) Slim chance but if your monitor is 15Khz enabled ( http://15khz.wikidot.com/ ) then you can go with a lightweight solution such as this one: https://www.arananet.net/pedidos/product/cpc2vga-sync-converter-for-cpc-6128

You can find it on the Wiki:

Well i thought about all the options and decided to buy a CRT TV. It seems like it is the cheapest option. Thanks a lot for your supports.
