I dumped most of my cassettes about 10 years ago when I move house, had quite a lot and in some ways I kind of wish I hadn't, also dumped lots of old games on floppy disk, and VHS tapes but on the other hand tape never was very good.  I did at one time own a very nice Sony Dolby S separates unit which made very good recordings.

I still have my old tapes. Not that I ever had many though, but I rarely throw stuff out.
