Congratulations AMSDOS! Waiting to play it! Is it BASIC only?

The main coding of it is in BASIC, though Several Assembly routines were written to improve performance which had been initially written in BASIC, as a result I think it also reduced the size of the game.

Regarding your confirmation email, I hadn't recieved one as yet and wondered if was a delayed responce? Everything appeared just fine when I sent the attached file with a message the file had been sent, but no email stating they had received. Earlier I had troubles with emailing @ronaldo though reassured me it had been sorted.
* Using the old Amstrad Languages :D * And create my own ;)
* Incorporating the Firmware :P
* I also like to problem solve code in BASIC :)   * And type-in Type-Ins! :D

Confirmation email is sent automatically by the system to the email you submitted right after your submission. This is all automatic and has nothing to do with my email account. I'm main organizer of the contest, but I'm not all the organization :).

But I can confirm you that your submission has been received and processed.

If "Happy Monty" is an original game created from scratch, I have to say I'm in love with this well-inspired loading screen !!
My personal website: https://norecess.cpcscene.net
My current project is Sonic GX, a remake of Sonic the Hedgehog for the awesome Amstrad GX-4000 game console!

All Trailers

They all seem to be private.

EDIT: Not anymore.  :)

You are so fast you didn't gave us time to change visibility of the videos. They are now all public :)

So, there you go the 35 entries presented to #CPCRetroDev 2019, as their authors show on their 20s trailers. You may now vote your favorites :)

GUNHED

Well,yes, now, but not a minute ago.  ;D  Thanks!  :)
http://futureos.de --> Get the revolutionary FutureOS (Update: 2024.10.27)
http://futureos.cpc-live.com/files/LambdaSpeak_RSX_by_TFM.zip --> Get the RSX-ROM for LambdaSpeak :-) (Updated: 2021.12.26)

ervin

Thanks @ronaldo for uploading the trailers.
I always look forward to seeing what everyone has created.
Maybe next year I'll be able to enter again.  :)

My top picks:
Epimetheus - looks brilliant, another excellent entry from CNG
Happy Monty - hard to believe it's in BASIC (though 8BP is an amazing library)
Hey Sailor - wonderful sense of humour, and an interesting art style
Jack's Bubble Island - looks like a fun little game
Ludic - looks very polished
Miss Input - this looks fantastic! VVVVVV-inspired, with great graphics
Runninja - excellent background graphics
Shinobu - looks like fun
Super Tongue Dino - looks like a polished super meat boy clone

There appears to be more variety this year.
I can't wait for the judging process!

Added 1 minute gameplays sent by authors.

How is the expected winners pool going? Do this gameplays change your expectations? Any guess on the different awards that will be given?

Awards giving ceremony streaming links will be announced shortly. We expect you to be with us next 8/november at 18:30h CEST!

MacDeath

damn, this event is almost always around the same time as Alchimie in france, this makes a lot of Amstrad things at the same time.  :)

Will check those with interest and congrats to all prods.

I have that thought to. I'm sure it would be a lot of fun to watch live but I don't really want to stay up until 4:30am to watch it.
Instead I can rush to this thread and find out the results on Saturday morning when I decide to get up.

teopl

I will be on my regular crossfit workout at that time (I couldn't skip because my trainer is very strict).

But she agreed to watch it on laptop during the exercise...  :laugh:

Of course, I will watch again carefully after to actually listen.
