cpc 6128 plus abba switch

I have just done the 6128 plus abba switch so that the internal 3" and external gotek can be swapped.
external pin 6 goes to pin 11 on ic 6 which is the same as snipping pin 6 and taking 2 wires to the dpdt switch, the internal pin 4 goes to pin 13 which is the same as cutting the 4th wire on the internal connector.
i bent the legs out to make a reversable switch.
the switch does indeed disable the internal but if i type bar then B it does not work.

any suggestions for the abba on the plus machines

    you got me a bit confused here. The mod for the plus doesn't require any IC pin cutting, just the socket pins and flat wire pins need to be cut. Which mod did you do exactly?

yes that is correct and i havent cut the is, the pin for the external floppy goest to the top pin of the ic and the cable from the internal drive goes to the lower pin on the is, so instead of cutting anything i lifter the legs and made a neater reversable mod by desoldring the 2 wires from the ic pins and removing the pins from the socket.

basicly its the exact same mod withoput cutting anything

But that's not the plus mod. That's the mod for the Classic CPC. The plus mod only involves the centronics connector and the flat cable.

its ok, ive sorted the issue, read the wrong pins, on ic6 remove pins 6 and 11 to preform the abba mod, its all working now.
i had it wrong when i read the schematics and did pin 11 and 13 ops.
i wired the dpdt switch as so, center ires to pin 6 and pin 11 of ic6, one side to bottom of bord where pin 6 and pin 11 would be and crossed the switch and now one side of switch is a: and b: then flip switch and then b: and a:, a lot less trouble than cutting wires etc.
