I personally would say "until mid 90s" but to be sure you should ask @Mark_wllms
The usual definition I know from different sources is:
During the commercial time, when they were sold. Or at least until the last professional software company released commercial software for it.
For Amstrad in general its a bit difficult as you could still buy Amstrads during the 2000ies :D
But for the CPC, yes, I would say around 92/93.

The original question was "the most Amstrad PCs owned at the same time (at the time, not now)". Question is, what counts as a PC. I would say the CPC, PCW and PCs but not the Emailer or satellite boxes. What was the last "real" computer? Wikipedia mentions a Pentium 120 and that was a mid 90s CPU. But I don't know if there was anything else later.

When you read the first post, the topic was, how many AMSTRADs (not only CPCs) you owend during the OLD TIMES, not now.

You changed the topic to "how much do you have today", and others were following you :D

I have 6x non CPC Amstrads (PCWs and NCs) and 3x GX4000, so only 15 real CPCs.

I can imagine, that @DoctorCPC would win the race by owning the most stuff with "Amstrad" written on it :)
Ok, you'll right - and you lost  ;D

It seems we require an arbitration!

As the original poster, my intention was to compare how many Amstrad Personal Computers (any model with a keyboard and the consecutive letters PC in its model name), bought new from a retail shop, did any one household simultaneously own during the time when such machines were on sale.

I hope that is unambiguous.

Ok, it's clearer for me.  :)

So in the Amstrad sales period, for my part : only 1 CPC 6128
