I can't be the only person now that's curious about this story now, surely?
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

Schneider CPC 6128

Some of my friends already owned a CPC 6128, one of them had a CPC 464, all Schneider Computers.
They visited computer lessons in school in the mid eighties.
I was given a CPC 6128 as a present because of good school marks back in 1987.
It was my first computer and because of that had a huge influence on me.
Unforgetable memories ...

I don't think that did you any harm. ;)

My parents weren't rich.
But they realized my big interest for computers and the worldwide progression in the technology back then.
After getting the CPC 6128 I spent really much time with it for years.
And the good school marks went down for years just until I began my professional career.

Oh, from your parents? I thought you meant as a school prize.

No, that would have been crazy and the best school prize ever. :P
I wasn't good enough for getting a book voucher from school.
But good enough for getting a CPC 6128 from my parents.

But let's not go off-topic. ;)

Voted. It was really hard to choose!

As a kid, I had the Amstrad CPC 6128, so that's the machine I decided to vote for.

However, nowadays, I love the entire range of Amstrad 8-bit machines, from the CPC 464 to the Amstrad Plus -- it makes no difference to me.

My current project is Sonic GX, a remake of Sonic the Hedgehog for the awesome Amstrad GX-4000 game console!

Voted for 6128 as it was my first and only at the time.
But I would have a second love of GX4000 (seeing how it got zero), junky design but very good potential I think for gamedev. What could have been if utilized, especially the extra space in ROM.
