I recently bought a RetroScaler RGBS Upscaler on AliExpress to try on my CPC464.

There are other products without the RetroScaler brand that are cheaper and probably identical.

It's a nice compact RGBS to HDMI package without the clunkyness of the scart cable/box and much less expensive than RGBtoHDMI solution.

It's built for Megadrive and Neo Geo consoles but it looked like it would be compatible with the cpc RGBS output so thought I'd give it a go.

I built an adapter cable and it works well!

However, there's a black band down the left side of the screen that results in the image being pushed off centre.

Does anyone have any thoughts on why that is and how it could be corrected?

Other than that seems like a good solution for the cpc.

I suppose the real question is : how does it behave with games/demo that torture the crtc. Typically most demos and the following games:  relentless, Edge Grinder and Super Edge Grinde

Seems like the adapter "thinks" the screen starts earlier than it actually does. Not sure if that can be changed.

How does it look like if you toggle the 4:3/16:9 switch?

And could you run a few tests with the games orzel suggested? There are only very few adapters that can run those games properly.

And please one test with Ghosts'n Goblins. If that plays well would already be great for such an adapter.
