AY sound effects

Just wondering if anyone has any links to good AY resources. Whilst I know what the AY registers do from reading the datasheet, I don't really have a good feel for how to make effects from that, simply because I've never experimented with sound effects and so I literally have no comprehension of what elements go in to achieving a particular sound.

So, I'm looking for good examples of things like snare drum effects, flanges, etc, so I can look at the raw AY stream to see what the effect is generally doing. Whilst I could play every game under the sun looking for effects, it's been so long since I played any CPC games I don't really know what games to look at either! So, if anyone has pointers to "this clip sounds awesome" or even an AY dump of a few effects, that'd be awesome...

Alternatively (and perhaps preferably), if this kind of information was on the web somewhere that'd be great. I'm kind of thinking of just a table of AY registers snapshotted every vsync for certain effects.

I'm guess this kind of thing doesn't exist, but I thought I'd ask just on the offchance someone has already done this kind of thing already!

I use the AYFX Editor from Shiru, include a lot of examples that you can modify for getting familiar with SFXs in the AY.

PD: The docs are in russian, but as is usual in Shiru, he only translate it when more than one person show interest and ask politely for it

I have finished of converting the SFX player to CPC the last week. And i was going to ask him about add support to AY/YM with other frequencies, because that it's a nice moment to ask him in a polite way
