Yes, yes, and the discussion drifted away a bit. As it does.

Don't make excuses. Make CPC game suggestions.  8)
Do you need music for your Amstrad CPC game project?
Take a look at IndieGameMusic.com - that's where I put my tracks.

Have started playing some Crystal Kingdom Dizzy. That one also fits the relaxing category.

Never played it before, but my kidbrother used to play it alot on his Amiga.

I find Teodoro slightly more relaxing though, because with Dizzy you have to figure out all kinds of things. You have to use your brain. And what if you don't have any?
How does one figure out that you have to crawl in the window as Daisy's house? Had to sneak peak a YouTube walkthrough for that. And why does she have a whip in her bedroom? So many unanswered questions...

In Teorodo it's "found yellow key? Great! Go find yellow lock!". Now THAT's simple and relaxing. Requires no brain activity. Just my thing.  :)

I found Blowaway Bob to be quite Relaxing. Sadly it's BASIC 1.1, I've tinkered around with it and got it working in 1.0, though there's one little annoying thing wrong with it.  ???
* Using the old Amstrad Languages :D * And create my own ;)
* Incorporating the Firmware :P
* I also like to problem solve code in BASIC :)   * And type-in Type-Ins! :D

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out.  :)

Have to admit I have already looked at the screenshots while browsing through CPC-power, but skipped it because it looked boring.
But will put it on my To-Check-Out list now.  :)

It didn't take me long to figure the game out and complete it to be honest, though once you've reached the end it suggests that you can make more levels, though I suppose that only takes more time.

What seems to be the problem I found when I got it nearly working in BASIC 1.0 is an ASCII file is loaded which holds information like the Title caption for each Level and I think some other information which may contain about the Board, if that information isn't loaded the game doesn't work, but for some reason in BASIC 1.0 when that file gets loaded in it's resides at &7000, which is where the information for the Bomb Sprite resides, which is why it's all corrupt within the game. For some reason that file gets loaded in at &4000 with BASIC 1.1, I'm unsure how this works since it's using openin"<filename>" approach. I've tried using memory command to see if that would make a difference, though it hasn't done anything.

Well, so get your LowerROM Box from Bryce and get BASIC 1.1 finally - after 30 years   I mean, it would be time now. :)

BTW: Blowaway Bob is not UK, the Electric Monk is German.

Actually I've had more problems making a BASIC 1.0 only program work in BASIC 1.1, rather than the other way around because everyone has been focusing on getting BASIC 1.1 programs to work in BASIC 1.0. So it just seems that 1.0 has one up on 1.1 in that department.  :D

Oui, mais quoi?

Just the accidental post I made:

Re: Suggest me some relaxing games

You may also want to remove all the following posts after it, which will be fine with me.  :D

sigh

Cant remember if I mentioned Puzznic.

Also Codemasters Pop Quiz as well as the Bob MonkHouse game....

Puresox

I find Loderunner surprisingly relaxing, thoughtful to. Great game.

ukmarkh

I found the Fantastic Four by Questprobe to be quite relaxing. I sat there with several cuppa's and played into the wee hours of the morning. Took me ages to move the bloody boulder though (flame on).

Puresox

Anarchy is a great game , which I find is relaxing , although some may find it hectic, I'd say cathartic!

dcdrac

Weirdly I found blowing up Planets in Captain Blood relaxing

Gryzor

That's like saying that throwing chess pieces into a pond makes chess a relaxing game :D

I loved Captain Blood, but it's very engaging and requires too much focus to be relaxing. Plus the notes - oh, so many notes...

TFM

Oh well, I usually blasted up planets. That was somehow... relaxing

Happy Numbers? Tends to cheer me up if anything.  ;) Haven't played Happy Letters , though it looks like you could get some fun out of that.  :D

Get Stone Runner, that relaxes for weeks. It was a type in, either CPCAI or Schneider Magazin.
