cpc on widescreen television

What does the cpc display look like on a widescreen television?

is it stretched to fit and so the aspect changes, or does it show it as 4:3 with black borders on the left/right?

Are the borders the same relative thickness compared to a cpc monitor?

Just wondering. Anyone got any pics.. I am sure there are some around.

Wouldn't that just depend on how the TV is set up? Most widescreen TVs have various different settings for dealing with a 4:3 signal, from centering it with a black border to varying different types of stretching algorithms.

I've found it's quite good in 640x200 sometimes, because it counteracts the strange pixel size!

Yeah, my TV can do either. I actually plan to add a mode to my FPGA emulator that compresses the display by 4:3 horizontally (which when multiplied by the normal 4:3 gives 16:9) too, but mostly because it annoys me to change the setting on the TV!

For information the 4:3 cpc screen size on a TV is 384x288 to 768x576

yes my television has the same algorithms. I wanted to see some nice pictures and beaker provided them, but also because I have an idea about 3d using passive glasses. I wanted to know how it could work.
