As a quick bonus midweek video I thought it was about to look at the game Amstrad Computer User readers voted the worst title of 1985. 3D Invaders by Amsoft:
It's everything I heard it was. Would have been pretty poor even as a type in (just look how good that type in Space Invaders game I did in my 30 years of the 6128 video for example). At full price it was the kind of game that gave Amsoft a bad name.
Atom Smasher ,3D Invaders , £7.99 for these gems

I seem to remember at least having some limited playtime from Atom Smasher though.

Oddly enough I was thinking that. There's loads of Amsoft games that I used to play that were fairly terrible that I want to revisit. The Prize being another.
Yep the Prize , was one which as a kid I thought, what is this crap. But on a recent look I was far more forgiving and it is a game that I find I can give it a quick burn and sort of enjoying finding out what it has to offer
A terrible game. But compared to Home Runner, its a masterpiece.

First video game I *ever* bought, for any system.
To my eyes (at the time) it looked like Asteroids!
How wrong I was.
To this day it is my most hated game of all time.

Paste into notepad first to remove any formatting, then copy and paste from there into here.

Or do it super simple: Use the A to
A icon (the second last). It does this job.
The 3D idea doesn't always work for games, you'd think people would have learned from this.
But no, in 1991, we got Welltris...

Didn't think Welltris was too bad a game . It was understandable and worked , whereas 3D invaders was just a mess that you could not enjoy

Very true! Welltris is a great game, except the missing sound. Imagine a driving tune and it would be really awesome. Ok, you may can also improve game field gfx a bit. But it's 3D part is really working well and understandable. :)

Has anyone seen the recent video by Retrogamervx , which play tests Atom Smasher for the Vic 20!? I was under the impression that this game was only brought out for the Amstrad , but it seems that the Vic 20 had a version done for it ,and tbh it looks a much better version imo . I'm interested to see if any other machine had a port of this dung heap of a game . Check out his vid (If you can bare the guy's style) reminds me of the fast shows 'Colin Hunt'. Still he obviously appeals to some . And probably ,like me doesn't care what others think . :D
So For that I respect him .

I found a version of Oh Mummy for the Einstein on his youtube page as well
The Oric 1 had Harrier Attack, it's so funny watching this guy play it, just wondering if the Mrs is here (bit of an Amstrad fan apparently).
Oh dear, I knew I shouldn't have watched that vid... I'm sure I had played it back when, but obviously I had suppressed the memory...
[ot]Thanks for replying to @Puresox (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=511) 's comment, guys; let's not blame the software when we don't get it...[/ot]
