Title: Phantis (Game Over II) screens
Post by: ComSoft6128 on 07:47, 13 February 23
Mmm,  two different loading screens for the same game, that's unusual.

I wonder why?

First up is the 1988 screen for the English speaking market and then we'll see the screen for the original 1987 Spanish release.

They are very different in style but I like them both.

See what you think......

From CPCPOWER:
"Note that the Spanish version "Phantis" was released in 1987, a year before the English version. The title screen of the English version is inspired by an illustration by Luis Royo (Album WOMAN).
The title screen of the Spanish version is inspired by a heroine "Lorna" created by Alfonso Azpiri. The game and the title screen are in MODE 0 (16 colors)."

From my good friend @cngsoft :

Quote" ...  Oh this is old. Dinamic's "Game Over" had been liked in the UK and someone had the brilliant idea of relabeling it as a sequel to "Game Over" instead of releasing "Phantis" as is to take advantage of the momentum. New title, new presentation, different hero ... "

Thanks for the info and when you get the chance please pass on my thanks to @cngsoft - I've been using quite a few of his cracks for my vids.
