Title: Amstrad PC14CD monitor
Post by: sf78 on 16:06, 02 January 21
So, I got this monitor which looks like a normal PC one, but is it? It does seem to have a normal VGA connector, but I just wanted to make sure it's not one of those weird models that powers the PC as well before I plug it in. Any specs available for it? I only found the PC14CD R that looks completely different and I guess this takes a normal VGA input as the CGA connector would be different, right?

Looks like a standard 15pin VGA but unused pins removed.  I expect it will work just fine.

I tested it, but it seems to be somewhat dead. The power light turns on, but the tube doesn't snap to life, so the flyback transformer might be toast.
