Title: CP/M Plus 1.11 - 1.5 download
Post by: JonB on 21:15, 19 February 17
hi

I need to find a downloadable image of CPM Plus 1.11 to 1.15 so that I can tell uIDE users with older versions that don't support FIDs where to get the upgrade from.

I don't have it myself.

I had a look about, but couldn't find it.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Jon,

As well as the 2.9 already posted, I have 1.12 and 1.15 (which are the same as versions 2.12 and 2.15, according to JE).

There are differences between these two versions, but I think nothing that will trouble those with 8??? machines, where many of the changes may be irrelevant?

Do you want both, or just the earlier (safer ?) one?

Both, to be safe.

But I think it just boils down to the EMS files?

Hello Jon,

I hopefully attach a .ZIP file, containing a couple of system files.

J12cpm3.ems and j15cpm3.emt

The .EMT file should still work on the PCW 8256 if the file is renamed to .EMS

I also have a file j21cpm3.ems, which is version 2.01 of the system, but this does NOT work with the 8xxx machines.   I understand that this version is fixed to use A: as 720k, and it does NOT use FIDs, so it cannot be altered.   Later versions were more flexible, so the version 2.9 which I have WILL boot from SSSD disk a: unless a .FID is loaded to change this.

Both the files I've included SHOULD work with FIDs, and both DO boot OK on a 8xxx machine.

Nice one Geoff!

Users of the older CP/Ms who want to use uIDE-8 should install one of these 1.x versions.
