Title: Lapcat file transfer software
Post by: Nilquader on 18:46, 23 September 11
Hi,

Does anyone of you have the lapcat file transfer software for PC, PCW or any other system? Or even the lapcat cable? I've reverse engineered a part of the protocol by disassembling the lapcat functions in the NC100 firmware. Looking at the other side of the transfer would really help me to understand how the original cable must look like and to re-implement the software for a modern operating system.

By the way...Is anyone else interested in using lapcat or are you satisfied with the serial file transfer?

I'm definitely very interrested! But why don't you use the RS232 interface?

I do use the RS-232 interface, but sometimes I need the RS-232 for something else and I have to change plugs all the time, especially while testing and cross-compiling on the PC. So it would be useful to have an alternative to the serial port.
