You can check our nice PCW Wiki (pcwwiki.amstrad.es), but we don't have an option to download everything in one go.

Also, be sure to check on the spanish translation of the page, as the english one is lagging behind due to lack of time.

You can get them from gaby.de although there are many CP/M archives out there. I have a bunch of links on my PC, I'll post them in a minute or two.

Most will work as-is on the PCW apart from things that use screen control codes like editors (you can usually configure these to work). If you want to debug you need a modified version of ZSID.COM because it uses a different RST vector than the normal CP/M ZSID / DDT. I can attach this.

If you want to develop on the PCW, start with a decent text editor. I use a PCW version of VDE, because Wordstar is too big and cumbersome for my taste. I also have Turbo Pascal, C and ASM (but not specifically for the PCW) and Modula-2.

Here are some links.

VDE editor home page: https://sites.google.com/site/vdeeditor/Home
gaby.de CP/M pages: http://www.gaby.de/cpm/
Humongous CP/M archive: http://www.classiccmp.org/cpmarchives/  <-- Actually this is the only one you need!

Here's ZSID, VDE and UNARC:

Hi Jon,

Could you please upload or otherwise send me the Turbo Pascal, C, and Modula-2 disk images?

That would be easy if I had them to hand, but I don't. Mod 2 is on a CPC CF-1 disk, C and Turbo Pascal are on a different machine altogether (but both were downloaded from the Internet). In other words, yes I can send them but not in a meaningful time span. Also, these are all CPM 2.2 programs, and Turbo Pascal has a built in editor which will need to be configured for the PCW's escape sequences and key codes.

Well, you could start with HoH... the best isometric puzzle / adventure / arcade game that was ever written..

I do have Colossus Chess 4 for the PCW on disk, too; although it is not easy to read as most of my drives are misaligned, seemingly.

Yes, there are many packages for CP/M and that is why you need a serial port and KERMIT.COM. Makes it dead easy to transfer stuff to / from a PCW without mucking around with disk image files. Incidentally, you can use CPCDiskXP to put files onto an image, if you have a way to get the image onto a floppy disk that your 9512 can read (I have a 3.5" drive and 2in1 to do my transfers).

There are also a lot of text based games that run under CP/M, notably the Infocom adventures and Colossal Cave.

Also try these links

http://pcwwiki.amstrad.es/doku.php?id=en:juegos:indice - there are some downloadable disk images.
http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/nc100-nc200-pcw-pda600/full-list-of-amstrad-pcw-8256-games/ - a list
and
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Amstrad_PCW_games which should give you some names to search for.
