Title: PCW 9512 dead, please help!!
Post by: JonB on 15:58, 28 July 16
Hi

Yesterday I fired up the 9512. It booted perfectly first time, and I did a few DIRs in CP/M to check what was on a disk. I left it running for a while, then powered down. So far, so good!

Problem is, it will not switch back on! I have checked the on-board fuse and plug fuse and they are both OK. Looking at the power board, it is merged into the VDU board and I am not comfortable poking around with it. I cannot see anything wrong. Has anyone got a schematic?

Ah! I thought it was the power switch and pulled it. Testing it on the bench indicates no problems. I refitted it but the machine is still dead. I'm no expert with these power supplies, but I bet mine's had it.  :(
