And... Sir Alan Sugar is chairman https://amstraddigital.co.uk/about/
I think they set up amstrad.com to try to get links, and then promote the digital marketing company off the back of that. Nice that there is an official home for the CPC, though, and the site is well done. I'd prefer it if they had credited me for the photo of mine that they've used, though.

not "relying on past glory"
and it seems to be his grandsons business.....
but!...it really does seem like they are trying to jump on past glory!
And just in time to restart that flamewar over the naming of the Plus models... :D
That was covered in the news March 2024, eg. here:

Amstrad.com already appeared last November. Not sure if a lot has happened since, looks pretty similar.

There's little direct connection to the marketing company. I had to search for the link.
Using your pictures without permission is not okay though.

A bit, but not much. It's probably more that the "Amstrad" in the name has some initial impact. It's probably more important that Sugar himself then "acts" as a chairman. But to be honest, to me it's obvious that this is a set-up and just to raise attention for an otherwise normal marketing company. It doesn't seem that they are in any way special.

don't they call men Sir over there? is he transgender?
@zhulien I get that you're attempting to reference a meme, but that's in very poor taste. :picard2:

It's an SEO play. The plan is to build a site with good incoming links, then place an outgoing link from it to the marketing company. Google finds the link easily and it boosts the ranking of the digital marketing company.
