Thanks to a posting on World of Spectrum, I came across an auction for Mega Twins on teh CPC!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mega-Twins-Amstrad-CPC-Demo-Unreleased-Game-/130542414334?pt=UK_VintageComputing_RL&hash=item1e64ef29fe (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mega-Twins-Amstrad-CPC-Demo-Unreleased-Game-/130542414334?pt=UK_VintageComputing_RL&hash=item1e64ef29fe)
Unreleased, it states it was sent for review, so it could have come from Amstrad Computer User..
Would be a major find if true.
or just sich pencil on a disk... :D
Anyone live in Sheffield, I'm sure he wouldn't mind one of us popping round with a 6128 just to see it load, before we buy of course? Pictures could be posted :)
That would ruin the "suprise". I'm sure he WILL have a problem with that....
Hmmm, how can I make a lot of money out of nothing, oh I know, I claim that something exciting MIGHT be on a disk that I supposedly have absolutely no way of testing and then sit back and watch some idiot pay waaay too much for it.. Ok. Got the pencil, now where's my empty CF2s....
Bryce.
Well, how i'm an optimistic, i think that it could be mega Twins, in september of last year appeared in the forums of WOS (http://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/showthread.php?t=31199&page=2), Mr. Simon Justin Street (Sock Shock), the graphician of Mega Twins (and Gauntlet III, Sly Spy, ...) for CPC and
zx :P
And he told:
QuoteI did have a copy of the Amstrad version (What there was done that is)
Think it was just one, maybe 2 levels, it didn't play brilliantly (not many Amstrad games did), but did look nice...had no sound...I wonder if that is still at my mothers house...that might be worth looking for again.
I asked him about post a few pictures of the CPC version, but i never got an answer.
Who knows...

yes I do and I contacted them to ask if I could visit to take photos.
Just had a thought... if the PCW can read the disks, could it copy 'em as well so a duplicate can be sent off for archiving?
Well, these auctions are a little bit strange. I will never bid for such unreleased previews without seeing first screenshots.
Maybe I should put on ebay preview disks of my future adventure game and just take photos of the disks :-).

I think I did have Simon's email address - he commented on my Sly Spy video and I messaged him about contact for possible interviews etc.
And go easy on the seller- Psychofox is a real nice retro gamer and seems all round good guy.

BTW, I offered for him to use my 6128 to test them, and if he wanted, I also offered to back them up.
