An Amstrad CPC 464 without its defective drive tape

I understand why he did it but it just looks wrong.
Even with a defective tape drive I'd have kept it in for aesthetic reasons.
:-X dear lord!!!
I have a broken one too but it is in place and I load direct from the pcb. I have also added a 6 channel audio plug from a pc mobo in the back as the case was broken too.
That is worse than the chop an Amiga case up to put a gotek in mods. Why are these people allowed tools [emoji22]

Suffering sweet shit on a stick!
This guy was clearly a Spectrum user in a past life...
As much as I like my 464 I kinda like how compact this makes it look and if the tape deck really was useless on it then hey cut it off. People often get dead and useless limbs removed when they become a hindrance anyways. :P

Why wouldn't you just not use it? I'm deaf in one ear, but I've never considered doing a Van Gogh job on myself!
To be fair your ear doesn't really weigh anything or take up much space and it still has a use for wearing glasses and such. Some folk always felt the 464 was a lil too wide cos of the tape deck (it doesn't fit on my current computer desk much at all) so if they wanted to chop it, it's up to them. There's plenty of 464's around with the tape deck stilll intact.

It's a fair point, I would get annoyed with my glasses falling off all the time!
