Title: How are RSS feeds parsed ?
Post by: genesis8 on 14:49, 05 June 11
Hi,

Actually my RSS (created with a PHP script) use genesis8.free.fr for the links.

I would like to change it to www.genesis8bit.com (http://www.genesis8bit.com) (a domain I bought since seveal years now).

How will your parser react ? Will all old news appear as new, this mean I should change my script to only output news from ID 232 (last news about ReSeT #0 is ID 231), or can I just change address without worrying about spamming the "news & events" forum with old news ?

Well... would the RSS still be served from the same address? Or should I change it to a new address altogether?

But in any case, there is an option for the parser to only import the last x posts, so it wouldn't be a problem - I'd just fetch the last couple or so (to make sure it doesn't miss anything). Just tell me when you've changed it :)
