Amstrad CPC Classic Gaming and Demos FB group has just posted an interview with former CPC Graphic Artist Nick Bruty.
Nick Bruty worked on CPC games such as Trantor, Savage, Dan Dare 3, Extreme and a few others.
Nick's loading screens and in game graphics show cased just how amazing an Amstrad CPC machine could perform, his stunning graphics on a CPC put other similar machines to shame.
In the interview Nick Bruty discusses how it all started for him and what it was like working on CPC games.

Great interview! Nick Bruty is behind some really amazing games, not only in the Amstrad. He really shined with Earth Worm Jim and MDK, for instance. Funnily enough, there is a stage in Earth Worm Jim Special Edition (I played it in Mega CD) that has a big enemy called Big Bruty. The whole monster and the name itself was a joke made just for him.

Apparently, they made Big Bruty as a big, blind and temperamental creature, just an exaggeration of himself
Just read it; a nice read, though pre-prepared questions necessarily mean that lots of potential of follow-up questions is lost...
Of course Nick & Dave worked for Probe for many titles, and he mentions the owner of Probe Fergus McGovern who sadly passed away a few weeks ago. I met Fergus a once or twice when I worked at Crawfish Interactive who were just down the road from Probe (Hotgen as it then was) in Croydon. Nice guy who liked fast cars and the odd party. Sad loss and another of the 80's guy to leave us. RIP
