Hi All,
My latest and most ambitious project yet was "released" this morning:
"Bryce 2.0" weighed in at a healthy 4.54Kg (10 pounds for all you imperialists) and 55cm (21.7") long. The initial "functional tests" seem to suggest that all is working as expected and the project is a definite success. However, as it is with such projects, I expect I'll have to invest many further hours to ensure everything continues to run smoothly (I hear these projects tend to experience teething problems). So my 8-bit development will have to take a backseat for a while. I still intend to regularly visit and contribute to the Wiki and it's Forum, but once I have finished the MegaFlash orders, there'll be no further projects for a while.
Bryce.
Congratulations! My very best wished for you and your family! ;) ;) ;)
Congratulations!! With these measurements, I might add: Well done to all three of you! :D
It was about time you cloned yourself! ;)
And before anyone asks: No. I won't be making a batch of them :D
Bryce.
Congrats !!!
You should publish the circuit scheme or some kind of guide for dummies so we can do it ourselves !!

Congratulations!
What's your new project's name? Alan by any chance? :P

Ah damn, you beat me to it. Well, each to his own, you both have my heartfelt wishes for happiness and success in all that matters =)
CONGRATULATIONS!!! WONDERFUL NEWS!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D
This was your surprise project, that you talked me about, jejejeje.
I wish the best for you and your family and special greetings to the mommy :D
Many congratulations, great news!
Hi, congrats also from my side and best wishes to the young family!
"Bryce 2.0 with special AI-ROMs implemented". Just wait about 14 or 15 years of learning. You won't be good enough in hiding the keys of your car. ;)
I terrified my parents, by disassembling every single electronic device in the house to "See how it works" when I was just seven/eight years old :D My parents were probably relieved when I started showing interest in the car :D
Bryce.
Was your family car so cheap that they'd prefer you to ruin that instead? :D
No, I said "probably"! My interest in cars worried them too, just not as much :) And cars didn't have electronics back then, so there wasn't much worth taking apart :D
Bryce.

Bryce.
Well, I'm sure you changed that ;-)
Congratulations! Now almost everything in your live will change, but in a very positive way. Even if there will be minutes and maybe hours where you will not be really sure about that. :-)
congrats bryce ;D
I guess names like roland, arnold, or joyce are not the one you considered.
rpalmer
No, we'll be sticking with traditional Irish names (and I don't mean CĂș Chullainn :D )
Bryce.
Congratulations! So you made a plus version of yourself ;D
Well I'm not 100% sure there's any major new features, but there was definitely room for improvement :D
Bryce.
I must of been on the Moon, What is it? :o

Oh! Sounds like he could build my Avatar from Neon lights complete with Buzz and flickering White Light!
A boy. And just like I did, he'll be getting his first Soldering Iron for his seventh birthday. I'll let him know that his first project is a buzzing neon avatar?
Bryce.
However, it's never to early to get CPCing :-))))) (Ok, the young man should be able to walk without help and there shall be no bunny paintings around electrical plugs ;) )
Congratulations!

Wow, thats massive! More weight than our twins combined (at birth).
All the best wishes to you and your expanded family. :)
My motto for electronics was always "Keep it small, light and simple", obviously it doesn't apply to this "Project" :D
@TFM: I have a CPC6128 set aside to be his first computer (obviously with a MegaFlash attached of course).
Bryce.
(oh wow, didn't even know about the scroll function!)
A 6128 may be a tad complex. I don't see a way you could teach a toddler about ROMs :) I'm still looking for an original Pong console for mine!
Drop in a Digiblaster for utter enjoyment ;D

Something like that, yes! ;D
We have 2-3 years to write an collaborative open source educational cartridge for the GX4000 to give him a head start for when he starts school, maybe we could have a new category for such projects were everyone can contribute what they can?
Congrats Bryce ! :D

This is actually a good idea. Most of the educational software I saw back in the day was not that good; and seeing as I'd like to start my kid off (when it comes) with retro consoles and computers, it'd be superb; but I doubt it'd gather much friction...
Félicitations Bryce...
Be nice with Bryce. ;D
So 9 month ago you were quite occuped into pluging the proto of your 512K cartridge inside the proper port.
and delivered Datas... :P
congratulations Bryce! Long-live :)
Wow... A bit late, but congratulations, mate!
Is Bryce2.0 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 or 256 bit?
Or just a little bit? :)
A tiny bit, I'd say, though still quite a big bit.

512 KB??? Are you talking about some weird compression algorithm??? Data needs uncompressd (as usual) about 3.27 gbp's.
