What's up with the site?

Is it just me?  I've not been on this site long, but I've found that it's really slow at times. Like, it literally times out...
I'd say about 40% of the time it's fine, and the other 60% of the time an average page load takes 30 seconds to a minute.

Just wondering if this is a common thing, or if it's just me, or whatever. The 'page created in' footer is generally only a few ms even when the request takes forever to respond - so I doubt it's php or MySQL related.

Known issue, server move pending. There's a whole discussion on it elsewhere here...

And indeed the timeout happens during the initial handshake, it that is ok then the rest loads fine.

Here's an example. A css file with 20 seconds of blocking and another 20 seconds trying to handshake I think. A server issue perhaps?

As you saw, it's a TLS thing... Btw, what does "blocked" mean in this context?

StealthGary

Blocked would indicate that the request is waiting for another to complete before it can start. If the issue is with the TLS handshake, then I guess it's slowing down every request, and they're waiting in a queue to be fulfilled.
It's weird that it doesn't happen all the time though. Can you link me to the other discussion on it?
