It's this book (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Amiga-Games-Influenced-Gaming-Industry/dp/1505661935/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1425590163&sr=8-4&keywords=Amiga101), £25. Hm, let's take a look, I thought. Turns out it's just a collection of the same old screenshots, along with some publishing data and a single (or at most two) sentence. So I told the guy (at that poitn I didn't know it was his book):

And the following ensued:

Now, I have a nasty cold and I'm a bit grumpy probably, but it miffs me that people have the gall to charge for some copying and pasting... Is that "community spirit"? Even Atari, Inc: Business is Fun (http://www.amazon.com/Atari-Inc-Mr-Curt-Vendel/dp/0985597402/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425999043&sr=8-1&keywords=atari+inc+business+is+fun), which is the worst retro book ever written (http://https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/705024303) actually had some effort put in it and (tons) of original (albeit of the lowest quality) text. So, charging 5 quid for a few screenshots - community spirit? Humph....
And I'm still waiting for the amiga book by Brian Bagnall... I never had an amiga, but I loved his book about the commodore company and this one was the follow-up to it.
Indeed, I'm waiting for that one myself. Cheaper than this one here, too! :D
He will get negative reviews and people wont buy it. Or even worse , he wont get any reviews at all :P
Personally I don't see the point of buying a book for Amiga that only mention games. Copy paste or not. Unless it has to offer something special.
Well, it *could* be interesting; the title is intriguing - he could go on to explain *how* these games influenced game design and further titles. Do a proper analysis.

That I would consider buying, it all depends on the quality of the presentation. It may be something that I don't care about and then the way is represented is really entertaining and informative. That would make it worth buying indeed.

They can't be serious. Anyway it's still neat book about Amiga games, with lots of pictures. ;)
I didn't look at the titles, didn't make it that far :D

Just get Bagnall's original book that covers both Commodore and Amiga years in one book.

Just to clear this up..
I am zapiy and i run RVG and the twitter above.. I don't have anything to do with this book.. A member on our site has done 3 books already which you can see on his site.
I do think small projects like this are worthy of the retro scenes support.. but there ends my involvement.. i want to help him promote it.
I said i appreciate your opinion fella.. and i do, not everyone will buy it and i suspect he wont get masses of sales but again i support his work and the adventure that he is on.

What do you mean? At the back of the book there is an announcement of a new book called "Commodore: The Amiga Years" to be launched in 2012. But the project is still on hold.

I mean Brian Bagnall's On the Edge: the Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodo
re. It covers the history of Commodore from the beginning to the end, including the Amiga years. Bagnall's Commodore: A Company on the Edge and the the yet unpublished Amiga Years is just the same thing extended and split to two. Cheers. It's a great site you have, I just did not want people thinking I was taking credit for the book. I love Justin's work as he is just a fan like you or me and that's why I try and support people like him.
