Query: Does Babbage's Analytical Engine qualify as Vintage since it was never really completed?
That would be a Vintage Prototype ;D
it was completed... recently...

a 10 years old machine is not totally retro enough. ::)

Hmm yes that's the paradox, to be honest I wasn't telling the truth when I said "it was never really completed" ;D So I guess if this old computer was thought up Hundreds of years ago, though finally completed 10 years ago, it would make it a new machine even though part of it dates back and the concept of the machine isn't new.
I don't know. It was finished with parts made according to the original plan in the style of the bits that were already done.
Kind of like if I made a CPC today using a copy of the original PCB (but a new one) and populated it with new chips as per the original design (assuming you could still get them). Even though there might not be any part older than a year, it's still an "old" computer.
Has he designed any expansions for it? Or come up with any cool mods? :D
