What's not good about the 800XL? If you need any replacement parts for it, let me know, I have a stock of all parts, including keyboards, Cartridge trapdoors and all the electronics of course.

Bryce.

@TFM, what's a LOS25?
And, do you have *some* Genie III? Any to swap? ;-)

Devilmarkus

When searching for "LOS25" I found this photo:

Is it a CPC 6128?  :o

The only LOS I know of is an Apple Lisa clone, some owners refer to these as LOS because they run Lisa OS, but maybe it's something completely different?

Interesting photo, although I cannot decide whether I like the cut-down 6128 or not.

You own 5 times the exact-same Amiga? I'm curious about your motivation  :)

Gryzor

Well... you know how it is. First you buy one. Then you find a better-looking one, so you get that, too. Then a friend gives you one. Then you find one in the dumpster. Then you see one on ebay.nz with Hello Kitty on it. And so on...

In my case, I see them on ebay at very low prices and I cannot resist buying them, also, the machines will not be available so easily for ever so I want several so I always have a working machine .

Then again, I want to write programs and it is important (I think) to be able to test the software on all models, and if possible most popular add-ons.

Ahhh when I was working for Sony I had discovered a development unit (wait, actually two of them) at the back of the warehouse. Talked to the warehouse guy, next time we destroyed old stock they somehow slipped into a bag and into my car :D

I thought you mentioned having a cake box... did you fall out with Sony?

Gryzor

Cake box? I don't understand the expression maybe?

Ahhhh, is it a 360? Well, I left Sony about a week before we received the first PS3s, if that's what you mean... :D

This reminded me: Tokyo had sent us a mock up, which was wooden with black lacquer, and it had something in it (lead, probably) to give it the proper weight. I remember each one of us in Marketing picking it up and going "are they effin' serious??" :D

Cosi

My ones:

Atari 800XE
Atari Portfolio
Psion Siena, 5mx, 3c, 3a, Workabout, Organiser II LZ64, XP
HP 620LX
Amiga 1200

I prefer the original PS3 - had a nice 'serious piece of kit' feel to it, much like an original VHS Video Recorder or something.

The slimline ones are just, well, there.

Those 360 has a EXTREME high rep for going bad quickly within a year with the "red ring of doom". Most of the hardcore 360 players i know has had to replace their 360 at least 3 times since launch. I must admit i play the 360 quite casually and mostly use it for HDDVD playback. Anyways its not good for a console when it crashes so much that the users themselves invent their own ways to repair them.

Well, i do recall the first a500 i got had a fairly dodgy drive so i got a second just to be sure (i like 2 have a spare just in case). But the main reason i have so many A500 (and 5x C64 and 10x+ 464) is that the local auctions is usually in "collection" format .. aka people sell "commodore" collection 2xA500 +3xC64 +equipment +games and i spot a Action Replay 3 or similar item i want and as the whole thing is sold for like £20-30 because the seller sells it as "donno if it works". The last 664 i got was in a odd sega console bundle.
Good thing i only listed the working systems above too  ;D

Actually, it's a term my uncle used for the original X-Box. Since it looked like a box about the right size and dimensions, we decided the X stood for cake :)

Gryzor

Ahhh then it's the breadbin of the new millenium :D

-CPC464
-Sega Saturn (not working, don't care :P )
-Sony Playstation (original model)
-Sega Dreamcast
