I'm blown away. Not only is this game totally awesome on its own, but it's also written in the humble ZX Spectrum BASIC, which adds several magnitudes of the WTF factor to the equation.

Possible Amstrad port?

Forgive my question, but why is it totally awesome?

Dunno - gfx, gameplay...stuff like that?

That's even before we get to the BASIC angle.

Drawing beautiful, slow, jerky gfx is no problem with BASIC I would think. Gameplay looks a bit basic (ha :D), though the pretty settings make it look interesting at least.

Well, there's no accounting for taste, they say. Although if this was an Amstrad release, your response would possibly be slightly different, methinks  ;)

Personally, after playing for a bit, I find it to be more fun (especially combat and movement) than many established old/new commercial and homebrew games, across all the 8-16 bit platforms.

Then you don't know me that well. :p

It's very nice as an exercise, true, and it looks pretty, but going from that to "awesome, wish this existed on the CPC" is a considerable distance...
