Just voted too, now we are the 100% Funny, one can't see results before voting by oneself. :)
Just voted as well ;)
Perhaps a capture with the screens to vote to? ;)

Good idea! Here we go:
As the "IDE" icon still isn't working in the current roms, why does it still appear when non-functional icons are hidden? ("spartan")
Ok, looks like the MacDeath Edition with activated Spartan Mode made it. Thank's to everybody who contributed here (positive). :)
IDE = Innovative Desktop Environment
That's correct so the button should stay there. :-)
Glad to see that even Germans are that much interested in the English version of FutureOS.
@TFM (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=179): What would be the "plus features" used in this version of FutureOS ?
Maybe analog joystick could be used or Dma sound when you clic an icon

maybe @bryce could design a true analogue mouse adaptor for USB mice? And maybe this and symbos carts could support it. Then we'd have a new replacement for the symbiface mouse.

- Usage of the analogue joystick in proportional mode
- 8 bit printing
- Hardware sprite used as mouse pointer
- Full access to the memory mapped I/O in the machine monitor
- 6128 Plus light pen
- and maybe more I forgot (Ast remembered me about the analogue joystick I forgot alrady, haha)

I know as soon as I can get one in my hands. ;) If somebody (owning this device) offers to help testing I *could* think about start coding. :)
Alright, here we go... :)
Now also the French and Spanish Cartridges...
If somebody wants a personal version just PM me! You get it! :)

I'd like a FutureOS cartridge for GX4000 in spartan mode...
... that is an empty black screen :P

Depends if the GX4000 can handle the &C3 RAM mapping properly. Give it a try and tell me if the mouse pointer leaves a smear on the screen or not (if not then &C3 works).
However, in this case I should include expansion ROMs into the Cartridge since there is no mass media.

Nearly, but you still can use the Monitor Icon to access RAM and I/O and so. Also the END Icon which is not doing anything else than a cold boot in the case of a Plus Cart.
GX4000 may actually somewhat get some sort of mass media...
you may read "tapes" via joystick port as was supposed to be in the codemaster CD thing... but I always wondered : can the AY produce a "Tape Data" compliant sound ?
I so you may get some routines to convert datas into soundflow and then record them via external audio port.
yeah, not simple and pathetic attemps actually.
(nice to see most of you prefer my icon set... thx a lot...)
I also think the Analog port could be used to plug some nice USB Mouse/joypad converter dongle... may then enable some sweet mouse with various speed and would also provide power as well.
Really good, but is there only 1 hard sprite used in this Cartridge version? or more plus features hidden?

That would be one idea. The other idea I had is to use Geralds C4CPC, it contain even a FAT filesystem for the memory card. So a couple of commands can switch the ROM. This would provide some kind of quick data access in a pretty decent way. But this is only an idea at the moment.

I think I answered this before maybe...
English Cartridge with FutureOS for 6128 Plus using Plus features (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/programming/english-cartridge-with-futureos-for-6128-plus-using-plus-features/msg98820/#msg98820)
However, yes, at the moment only one hardware sprite is used, the other 15 are free to the user. (Means other applications like information systems, error-handler, background-program and so on). Recently I started thinking about using more of them actually...
sorry but i was thinking it was just a joke. :-X

Haha! Written posts are often misleading. :) If you have some advice to me I will of course listen to you. Your work on 6128 Plus is awesome!!! :)
The idea of using more Plus sprites is really good. You did point me a that. Maybe for some of the remaining Desktop icons? Or I wait a bit for inspiration, haha. :)
But I was very happy to test your Great Giana Sister... Great work ! I like your Futur Os Cartridge idea...
Thanks! The Cartridge makes FutureOS eventually running on an "off-the-shelves" computer, which for old CPC6128 it needed an ROM expansion.
At the moment I'm debugging a bit of code of the cores OS, couple smaller things. After that I will go back to Giana and finish it up. I wasted time enough.
Concerning Giana, you'll have to change this ugly fullscreen presentation page. Ask for BdcIron to make a proper one.
I think it's the only problem in this game.
Playabilitiy is really interresting. It reminds me Mario+.
Thanks! Do you mean the title screen when you say presentation page?
Yeaaaahhh, it's exactly what i mean...
This one...
Ah yes, I used that as source and Markus converted it with his tool to MODE 1 CPC Multicolor format. I'm not 100% lucky with her face, but overall I think it's good.
With Cyberchicken i realized that this kind of pictures people either like of not.
So, if somebody would have too much time to another title picture, then I would gladly integrate it :-)
Meanwhile I wait for @Tolkin (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=81) or @MacDeath (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=221) to paint me a Fire-Wheel, the last sprite I need to be able to continue.
