Title: IDE 8BP
Post by: Robert_Lee on 12:58, 30 May 24
Hello good!

Well, it seems that it has already been tested and it works.

You have to unzip it in the C directory so that it is:

C/IDE_8BP

Inside there is a folder called AutoPlay, inside of which is the folder called Docs

There are several .bat files in it
In principle, if I'm not mistaken, there is no need to edit them, since they are routed in C/IDE_8BP

The Sprites Designer button, which links to the aseprite.bat file, will not work, since this program, being paid, is not added

When you have this program, or another sprite editing program, you simply have to edit the aseprite.bat file

Be careful, because maybe the one you have to edit is aseprite_2.bat or aseprite_3.bat
Try this last one first. It's the one that works for me

Of course, if you use a program that does not export to 8BP format, you will have to import the png to RGAS to export it, since the latter, like Aseprite, have a script for 8BP

There is also a folder for your projects that can be accessed from one of the buttons

Inside there are also several videos using tiled with 8BP

This map generator program has a plugin to export them to the library that is already added to the "extensions" folder.

There is also a folder called "script" which contains the Aseprite script to export to 8BP
I have it set to:

C:\Users\xxxxx_\AppData\Roaming\Aseprite\extensions

There is also a README.txt file where I explain everything

Inside there are manuals in different languages, but only Spanish can be accessed from a button

Also in this file there are links to several pages of interest

Thanks!
