Title: Locomotive BASIC - Interceptor 3D by Ottfried Schmidt
Post by: ComSoft6128 on 15:54, 29 July 21

1985 Type-in from one of the German CPC magazines published by Tronic Verlag Gmbh.
Program is Listed at end of video.

Please note that due to a hardware issue the audio is out of sync with the gameplay.
Also the collision detection is not 100% - sometime the attacking ships pass right thru your ship without any effect.

I think I'd have been impressed if I'd seen this back in the day as a type-in!

Also, thanks for listing the, er, listings at the end, it takes me back just this little more :)

So I'm (re)generating your memories?
Sounds like something Philip K. Dick wrote ;D

Well if this is a PKD thread then I probably never lived in a childhood with a 464 and all that is planted. I must find some Ubik spray to clean the false veneer.

indeed... but I would have also been bored after a couple of minutes.

I don't remember any Basic game type in, that was really worth the time to type it in. So much time to type in that stuff, then even more to find errors (especially those that didn't immediately pop up) - and rarely fun.

Oh yes indeed. I think I did keep a few utilities on tape/disk after typing them in, but for the most part they vanished the moment I shut the machine off.

Typing them in was most of the fun though :)
