Dear fellow CPC coders...
Thinking about making a programming contest for FutureOS... But what exactly?
- Kind of program: Anything you want, application, game, demo, new programming language, something else.
- Prices to win:
1. 300 Euro
2. 200 Euro
3. 100 Euro
- How to judge? Well, maybe a poll or some qualified referees from the forum?
- Timespan: Maybe about 1 year?
- Languages: Assembler or C (there are libraries)
Of course TFM would help with anything connected with "How to do this or that with FutureOS"
What do you think? Any ideas welcome!
Is there any interest at all?
WoW! Didn't expect all that Likes-support in that short time. :) :) :)
Then let's do this! You're all invited to join. Either you join as participant or if you don't like to program something you can help being a judge or tell you ideas. I would like to see the community being involved. :)
If you like to join please tell it here. :-*
So far - so good. This is what I will do....
Waiting for your suggestions / ideas up to August 1st.
Then we decide about the rules and the contest will start for a defined time span.
Please let me know your suggestions. :) :) :)
I really like FutureOS, but I don't have the necessary knowledge to program an application :picard:

For 300 Euros it might be worth learning :)

Actually, that brings us an great idea: To create an easy-to-be-used programming language. Easy as BASIC, but quick as ASM or C(something). :)

Actually, is 8BP compatible with
FutureOS? I guess it would need some tweaking, but probably not too difficult..

May be this FUTURE BASIC is one of the project idea for the contest?

As I remember 8BP uses libraries. They could be adapted for FutureOS I guess. :) This would be a 'project' already. :)
