I'm not sure if this post is suitable for the "Programming" section, but here goes...
When I visited the Retro Revival event last May, I happened to meet a guy who had a cassette containing a copy of a game written in BASIC called Worm Maze. He had originally written it in BASIC for the TI99/4A and had converted it to the CPC. He loaded it on a CPC464 at the Rockrabilia stall and I had some fun playing it. Two months later, he released an updated version and e-mailed it to me, and I have uploaded it to NVG. You can download Worm Maze from the URL below:

I was impressed at how fast it is, considering that it's written entirely in BASIC. The author informed me that it is a work in progress; sound effects still need to be added to the CPC version. It's interesting how a chance encounter can lead to another 'new' CPC program being discovered... :)

Would you be able to upload a copy here Nich, my computer has issues downloading off FTP and I'm not sure why. :'(

It's now available on the CPCWiki forum downloads section. :)
Hey, this is quite good, indeed very cute for a BASIC thingy. Wish you didn't die when you turn into walls though...
I really hate this game; I wanted to have an early night tonight to TRY and get some sleep in this stupidly hot weather we're finally experiencing, but I've been sitting here, now, for hours just playing this game... one... more... time... ! It's too dang addictive!
Seriously, it's very impressive for BASIC (lots of integer variables helps up the speed) and I personally can't wait for the updated/final version.
Sometimes, games like this simply prove that you DO NOT have to use assembly to write a great game!
Top job! ^_^

I thought you only die when you walked into yourself. I've hit walls before and not died.
Hi,
Not a bad program. I though it would be another" snake in the labyrinth" game, but the blocks to push offer an interesting variation (right english word ?).
Might be a good idea for a 16Kb competition game next year :-)

Thanks for that. It is pretty good for a BASIC game, reminds me of the ol' AA Tracker game which I think was all BASIC too.
