I was very young. After getting to know green on green only too well, I marveled at yellow on blue any chance I got.

When I was typing a large amount of text I used white text/black background or orange text/black background as I found the default colours to be irritating after a 1/2 hour or so.

John I will do a test with Version 4 on my old boards and see what happens

Version 4 appears to be Ok with the old Boards, |USB OK, files OK. .DSK OK

Thanks

Perhaps the edge connection on the Motherboard is dirty ?

Unlikely. The second USIfAC works without problems.

Also the non-working USUfAC also doesn't work on a 6128 with Centronics connector.

Two further issues:

1) One of my USIfAC II doesn't do anything. It's connected and nothing happens. Any idea what I could check?

2) My other UsiFac works fine on my 6128, but on the 464 it behaves differently. When turning on, the 464 stops when displaying the start up screen, just before the USIFAC message should appear. After pressing reset, it boots fully to the READY prompt (at least most of the times, but not always). Then I can navigate through the USB directories and start something - but when I then press RESET, the startup screen will again stop in between and a reset will no longer help. I have to turn off the computer for a few seconds, then I can start it again.

Games / Re: Best source for game info/games
« Last post by GOB on Today at 01:04 »
Ex CPC464 owner here, looking to build a collection and to play some old games via emulation. Currently I use Launchbox for my emulation needs.

I'm trying to find the best sources of information/lists/etc for CPC games. I'm keen to build a complete collection. So far some of the best I have found are:

CPCWiki - lots of good info, scans and games
GamebaseCPC- also seems to have lots of info and scans
CPCGamesCD by Miguelsky - looks pretty comprehensive
CPCRulez - loads of info & scans for most games
TOSEC - have a DAT for the CPC .dsk games, some other CPC stuff also
CPCPower - but watermarks, bleh!
ScreenScraper - looks like an excellent site for game media

I'm wondering which is the best/most comprehensive/up to date list? Would be importing the games into Launchbox and attaching the media & manuals there.

Thanks!

There are no watermarks on cpcpower... Just click on the icon.
