SymbOS is able to use max. 1MB. It fits perfectly. Of course not on a GX, but runs well on a regular or plus model. So, cool device.:)

It would be great! The more translations there are, the more people will be able to play :) . I will see how I can provide you with the text.
Are there any special accented characters in Italian compared to French? I'll have to add them if necessary.

I finally had time to try the Cool Novelties RGB to SCART cable on my GX4000. A huge improvemen over to blurry pictures of SCART to SCART!
PS. I also had to use 5v input because with 9v one the picture was very dark.

Quote from: Arnaud on Today at 06:33Hi,
i think @ervin is right, the decompression is overwriting the stack.

To solve your problem try to set the size of your image to 0, 0 (image size by default) and no args after image:
$(eval $(call IMG2SP, CONVERT        , img/transition.png, 0, 0, transition, , ))

I have done this some weeks ago and the size file was OK.

Thank you, I'll try that later. I do notice that the video tuturial I was using from Prof.Retroman also had the same issue, though he wasn't doing anything afterwards in his code, so I don't think he realised he had the same issue.

Quote from: Gryzor on Today at 08:37Again you misrepresent my point on purpose, which is by now a real classic move when people discuss the merits and pitfalls of alternative media. At no point did I mention a brand, maximizing exposure, metrics for the sake of metrics etc etc. That's your interpretation. I couldn't care less.

I'm talking about my own motivations and I'm not avoiding your points. I just want to hang out where I want to hang out.

Mastodon requires effort that the average user simply won't put in or sustain. It won't die. It will go back to being niche and full of techy people. That's fine.

The server numbers are explained away by everyone and their dog setting one up. I know 3 people with them, all of which are tiny. It seemed silly at the time to be on a small server at the whim of a single admin but there you go.

It's all just talking bollocks on the internet anyway. We'll all just find a different way to do it.

Why not an ebook instead of a pdf? I'd back it then...😐

Other retro / C64 Nightmares Kickstarter
Last post by merman - Today at 11:49
So, in 2023 writer Graeme Mason did the book ZX Nightmares, looking at over one hundred terrible ZX Spectrum games.

Now, I have written a sequel - C64 Nightmares.

With Loathsome Licences, games that tested the Patience of a Saint, the bizarre games that made you say They Did What?, and the Simply Awful.

Over 200 pages, with multiple screenshots and game covers, plus review quotes from classic gaming magazines.

Funding on Kickstarter now, with over 500 backers already:

The catch is that people never use RAM. Only software uses RAM  ;D
