I've upgraded two GX4000 to 128K already. The only delicate part is to properly solder a thin wire to one of the ASIC pins. The rest is quite straight forward.

In general it would be much less effort and less risk to piggy back the RAM than modding the GX4000 to support the GeminiRAM expansion.

It's already been mentioned, but yes, Gryzor's ending definitely sticks out.

As far as intros go, RoboCop was my introduction to digitized speech on the CPC, so that will forever hold a place in my heart even though it's not that spectacular, I guess.

Also, the two gorgeous overscan screens that lead into Knight Force blew me away.

Quote from: eto on Today at 11:04Is there any relevance for the GX4000? Without mass storage and keyboard there is little(no?) use for 1MB of RAM. Maybe some 128K games are nice but for that it's much easier to piggy-back 2 RAM ICs.

As a complement for AMSTEAM, for people who doesn't have any ROM Box hardware (M4, XMEM, etc), I made a small ROM BOX card, with MX connector. It has 6 free usable slots, plus selectable boot replacement (Firmware + BASIC) and all this multiplied by 4 different selectable banks (total 32 ROMs). The banks and the boot option are selected by jumpers in the board.

The idea is to have quickly exchangeable configurations without having to rewrite everything or having to initialize all the bunch of ROMs every time, like: Games, SymbOS, Development, Word processing, and so on...

Lastly a jumper allows to map the 6 free ROMs to numbers 9-14 instead of 1-6 if you have a 6128 and want to connect two cards in parallel (a very pro usage :D )

SymbOS is able to use max. 1MB. It fits perfectly. Of course not on a GX, but runs well on a regular or plus model. So, cool device.:)

It would be great! The more translations there are, the more people will be able to play :) . I will see how I can provide you with the text.
Are there any special accented characters in Italian compared to French? I'll have to add them if necessary.

I finally had time to try the Cool Novelties RGB to SCART cable on my GX4000. A huge improvemen over to blurry pictures of SCART to SCART!
PS. I also had to use 5v input because with 9v one the picture was very dark.

Quote from: Arnaud on Today at 06:33Hi,
i think @ervin is right, the decompression is overwriting the stack.

To solve your problem try to set the size of your image to 0, 0 (image size by default) and no args after image:
$(eval $(call IMG2SP, CONVERT        , img/transition.png, 0, 0, transition, , ))

I have done this some weeks ago and the size file was OK.

Thank you, I'll try that later. I do notice that the video tuturial I was using from Prof.Retroman also had the same issue, though he wasn't doing anything afterwards in his code, so I don't think he realised he had the same issue.
