That's an interesting question. Some thoughts from my side:

My first idea would be not to apply this change incrementally, because I'm sure that after the third or fourth iteration there will be nothing left from the original graphics. It would be better to always start from the original graphics and rotate this by 8°, 16°, ...

A second idea is: CPC symbols are defined as bit masks, stored in 8 bytes. To create a rotation, the given 8 bytes need to be combined somehow with AND and SHIFT operators to create the new 8 bytes. But I guess this will be unbelievably slow.

Another idea is to print out the orginal symbol and then use interpolation techniques to create the rotated symbol. This can be read in afterwards and stored as new symbol. But this will also be unbelievably slow.

How many symbols do you want to rotate? And how often should every symbol be rotated?

I think, a real-time rotation can only be achieved with a samll assembler program, e.g. as RSX extension.

That's why it's so problematic when an item sells for an outrageous price -- people start using that as a reference.

And in the end, it leads to absurd situations like this: https://ebay.us/m/vEXQRp

Absolutely no problem with that. I would do the same I guess!  ;)

THIS. Exactly.

I think that is, what @norecess464 doesn't like. Posting Ebay links to own stuff, while using clickbait-words like "wow" and "be quick"  :D
But, nice that it has been sold for that price!

Not fair to promote your own Ebay listings... especially at that price.
Why not? That was a pure bargain  :) The previous copy of that software was sold for 212 Euros - and it was even openend, not originally sealed.  :o

Quote from: Brocky on Today at 02:00i cant see the mouse and adapter using more than 500mA (probably much much less)... so a 2A power supply should be enough to power both the cpc and the mouse...
Today you need to take into account: If you have a 2A supply and you use only 1A then the Voltage already drops from 5 to 4.5 Volts. That's at least what I did measure in real live with several PSUs. All that switching stuff...
it really depends on the quality of the wall wart PSU... the ones that just use a capacitive dropper are cheap and nasty and yes, usually do drop voltage way before they hit their amp specs... quality ones dont ever drop voltage and will clamp at the current limit...
the problem arrives from not knowing if youre got a quality PSU until you test it...and the majority of them are the cheap and nasty types...

pelrun is right...
the raspberry pi had the same sorts of issues early on with their 5v power supplies... they would drop voltage when close to the power limit.. and start showing the power icon in the top right of the screen while throttling the processor.. they eventually increased the voltage of their power supplies to 5.1v to account for the drop

enough power for cpc and mouse But the problem is the consumption of the five cards: X-MEN, XMAS, Mini Booster, Electric Studio light Pen and DDI- Clone 4
in that case, yes you might want some more, just keep in mind that more amperage = more damage if things go bad!
if you can get a hold of a bench power supply or a watt meter, or even just a ammeter, you will be able to see the current draw
you can even get cheap buck converter power supplies from the usual online stores that you could put between the wall wart and devices.. these will allow you to adjust the voltage and see the current draw, they work much nicer than the capacitive dropper wall warts...BUT you need a higher input voltage to them... (ive used 12v 1A wall wart with the buck converter inbetween set at slightly above 5v)

Quote from: eto on Today at 09:36I'm not sure if using different 5V sources for the MX4 and the CPC is a good idea. I've read from people who don't have any issues with it but also some warnings not to do it. But even Amstrad themself kind of did it with the DDI-1 which was powered from the drive.

i havent had an issue.. one thing to note is both power supplies should have a common ground (-ve).. but im fairly sure the MX4 takes care of that...
i sometimes use a USB "charging" port that is on my 6 outlet power board, rated for 2A, on the mx4 board when using lots of addons...and 5v 2A wall wart in the same outlet board powering the cpc
ive even used a bench power supply and a PC power supply together..
..and all sorts of combinations of the above! (my 6128 sometimes has 3 different power supplies connected when ya add the 12v rail!)

Confirmed! The core will be the 6128 (with good prospects of becoming more!)

Quote from: eto on Today at 09:14I don't see a point to replicate a system that I have anyway and due the downsides of not having an expansion port or the right keyboard layout (for me) it doesn't really make a difference compared to emulation. Sure it's not emulation - but it feels like emulation.
I'm not sure how the keyboard connects. It looks like it goes into a GPIO header block. But as long as there's enough pins for the CPC's 18 or 19 pins then it should be possible to reconfigure things for a different keyboard (if you're willing to go without the case).

And the CPC's expansion connector has 50 pins versus the Spectrum's 56. So reconfiguring the pinout should make it easy plug in an adapter board to take CPC peripherals.

If i understand correctly the project is open source, so a redesign to fit within an Amstrad case should also be possible.
