Yes, most of them. There are a handful that don't work (mostly due to keyboard issues) although many of them have fixed versions.

As to where to buy plus games, the cartridges often show up on eBay, but be prepared to deal with high prices as the GX has had something of a resurgence as a collectors item in recent years and relatively low sales back in the day mean they're quite scarce.

To play old CPC games on a GX, you need to convert them to cartridge. And then potentially fix old control issues and/or remap controls so they are entirely playable with a joypad (or two!)

Thankfully the community has already done loads of them:

You do need some kind of programmable cartridge to play them there though, the C4CPC was the gold standard but isn't currently available I believe.

Original Plus cartridges will, however, work on both if that's what you mean.

You can play most CPC 464 games directly from tape or via a SD/USB solution like M4 or Usifac II.

Cartridge for the GX4000 also work on the Plus, however, the used market is small and games are hard to find and can be quite expensive. If you can solder and burn eproms, you can create your own DIY cartridges quite easily.
