I am trying to install symbos, got the 4 ROM"s but can"t flash them.
the hxc can"t find the ROM files....
Is there a installer, like on futureos ?

hi Radu, no symvbos does not need and installer. You just put the 4 ROMs in any 4 slots. Mine are in 8, 29, 30 and 31.
From there it just works.
Where did you grab the ROMs, are you using a physical ROM board or a flash solution?

I grab them from symbos site.
The rom files are not visible with the hxc, even if i convert them to hfe.
i"m using the x-mem board :)
You have to make a DSK with them on it and convert that to hfe.

how did you do the DSK ?
I use ManageDsk - CPCWiki (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/ManageDSK) to create a DSK then the HxC software to convert it to hfe.

Basically, so you know next time, the HxC can't read any old file - it's not a mass storage device. It can only read disk images. So you must create a disk image, insert the ROM files into it and then convert it to hfe (the format that HxC recognises).
