Title: MP4 Video Problem
Post by: ComSoft6128 on 19:06, 21 March 19
Hi,

I recorded a short CPC video last night - 16:49 (725MB) and I am reasonably happy with the result.
But... when played thru VLC or a Blu-ray player the length is shown as 1193:02:20! and YouTube will not process the file for uploading.

Any ideas what is wrong with this file?

Cheers,

Peter

Seems like a corrupted file to me...
Could try and convert the mp4 to mkv and see if that fixes it?

Thanks @ASiC (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=22),

Unfortunately no joy with the converter or Freemake or VLC. The output from all of them was corrupted to a degree. The irritating
thing is that the 5 previous short (3/4 minutes) videos recorded on the Hauppauge Rocket were all fine. Looks like I'll be making a duplicate vid in a few weeks.

Cheers,

Peter

Did you remember to press stop at the end? :D

Bryce.

Edit: But seriously... Have you tried re-converting it with Handbrake or something similar?

I think you have a good point there Bryce - yes I hit the "Big red button" on the Rocket but might have pulled out the USB flash drive too quickly, mmm.

Thanks,

Peter

I had a video I couldn't play with VLC today, and had some success with this:

(the 1.92 free one)
May be worth a shot?
